U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Willie Price, U.S. Air Force Capt. Allen Bear, Jose Adalberto Mejia, U.S. Army Staff Sgt. John Fowler, and U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Michael Batres were recognized for their actions in assisting at the scene of a vehicle accident, Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Dec. 16, 2013. On the evening of Dec. 11, 2013, Adalberto Mejia was driving a taxi with the four service members riding as passengers when the men witnessed a vehicle striking a cow that had wandered onto the road. The vehicle flipped upside down and came to rest in a ditch. The five men came to the aid of the driver of the overturned vehicle, pulling him from the wreckage and then loading him into the taxi to transport him to receive medical treatment.
