Marines with Bravo Battery, 1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, hand off primers for the M777 lightweight howitzer during Exercise Steel Knight 2014 at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Dec. 13, 2013. Teamwork is an important aspect on the gunline of an artillery battery, where everyone works together to ensure fire support is timely and accurate. Steel Knight is a large-scale, combined arms, live fire exercise integrating the ground combat element from 1st Marine Division with aviation and logistical support from 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing and 1st Marine Logistics Group. The exercise enables I Marine Expeditionary Force to test and refine its command and control capabilities while honing its conventional warfighting skills. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
