Before any live rounds can be locked and loaded, soldiers from 1st Platoon “Blood Angels,” D Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat team, 1st Cavalry Division, had to go through the lane with blank ammunition to become familiar with the procedures being used.
