Marines with Black Sea Rotational Force 14 begin their timed 3-mile run in a physical fitness test during a two-week long unit-wide squad competition Jan. 13, 2014. Also known as the ‘super-squad competition,' this event dates back to the early 1980s and tests Marines on skills and knowledge they may require in a combat situation.
