Scarlett Oden and her son, Logan, sit down with Lance Cpl. Ellen Aranaunatin to file her taxes at the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Center Feb. 3. The center is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There are 18 Marines working during the day and 12 at night. VITA has a new appointment system where customers can call in to make an appointment at the center. Aranaunatin is a tax preparer with VITA.
