Anek Tanompestsok, right, meets with U.S. service members and a representative of the People’s Liberation Army Feb. 4 in a building constructed nearly a year ago during Cobra Gold 2013 to discuss the progress of the building and the way it is currently used at the Ban Hua Wang Krang School in Phitsanulok, Kingdom of Thailand. The discussion took place during a routine civil reconnaissance mission during Cobra Gold 2014. Cobra Gold is a Thai-U.S. co-sponsored multinational, joint theater security cooperation exercise conducted annually in the Kingdom of Thailand. The U.S. service members are participating as the civil affairs unit of the Combined Joint Civil Military Operations Task Force for CG 14. Tanompestsok is the principal at the school.
