Romero a combat medic from U.S. Army South, briefs a group of Guatemalan army, navy and civilian national police members on how to evaluate a casualty during a tactical situation. U.S. Army South deployed a small team of experts to Guatemala to participate on a tactical combat life saver subject matter expert exchange (SMEE). This subject matter expert exchange involved personnel from Guatemala and U.S. Army South working together to share combat medical tactics, techniques and information to enhance and sustain their military medical program and capability.
