Drill Instructor School is where noncommissioned officers and staff noncommissioned officers prove they are among the best in the Corps and capable of training future generations of Marines. During the 11 arduous weeks of training, they are pushed past limits they thought they had reached earlier in their career. They must become faster, stronger and smarter in order to keep up with the younger generation of recruits. The Drill Instructor School on Parris Island trains all future drill instructors in an intensive 11-week course.
