Captain Christopher “Andy” Macak, company commander, Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment comes ashore from a U.S. Navy landing craft utility with Assault Craft Unit 1 during the Marine Corps Combat Readiness Exercise at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Feb. 4, 2014. Macak was one of the first Marines in the company to come ashore.
