U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. William T. Stables, U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific (MFP), receives a gift from Maldivian Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Ali Zuhair, Marine Commanding Officer and Male Area Commander, after meeting about current and future training exchange opportunities on Male, Maldives, Feb. 9, 2014. Maldivian and MFP Marines have been taking part in a non-commissioned officer development program which creates a setting for professional military and cultural exchanges, as well as provides both forces an opportunity to train in unfamiliar settings and gain experience with different tactics, techniques and procedures.
