Royal Thai Marine Master Chief Petty Officer Prasitchai Poonkasaem, digs out dirt to fill an area of a newly developed landing zone Feb. 11 at Ban Chan Krem, Kingdom of Thailand during Exercise Cobra Gold. Cobra Gold is a multinational and multiservice exercise, which takes place annually in the Kingdom of Thailand and was developed by the Thai and U.S. militaries. An engineer construction team made up of Royal Thai and U.S. Marines spent their portion of the exercise improving upon the training and maneuver areas in preparation for Cobra Gold’s culminating event, a combined arms live-fire exercise. Poonkasaem is the staff noncommissioned officer in charge for the Royal Thai Marine’s engineer construction team.
