Members of the 8th Forward Surgical Team and family members say their final goodbyes before the unit moved out for their nine-month deployment in Afghanistan on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Feb. 16, 2014. The 8th FST became part of the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division on Dec. 20, 2013.
