Members of the Japan Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) lift a simulated injured medical patient onto a portable gurney during Kanagawa Prefectural Government’s (KPG) “Big Rescue” disaster drill at JMSDF Air Base Atsugi. KPG and Hiratsuka City conducted the evolution as part of their annual disaster prevention drill. The evolution's main Staging Care Unit was established on JMSDF Air Base Atsugi and consisted of emergency support personnel from the surrounding cities, Commander, Naval Forces Japan and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
