Pfc. Donald A. Hulsizer, the honor graduate for platoon 3017, stands at parade rest before marching onto the parade deck at graduation March 14, 2014. Hulsizer, a Loris, S.C. native, was recruited by Sgt. Ethan Sanders, a recruiter from Marine Corps Recruiting Sub Station Myrtle Beach, Recruiting Station Columbia. Recruit training signifies the transformation of a civilian to a United States Marine. Upon graduation, the newly-minted Marines will receive ten days of leave before attending the School of Infantry East, Camp Geiger, N.C.
