Cumer, a Horn Lake, Miss. native, was recruited by Sgt. Marneze Davis, a recruiter from Marine Corps Recruiting Sub Station Southaven, Recruiting Station Nashville. Recruit training signifies the transformation of a civilian to a United States Marine. Upon graduation, the newly-minted Marines will receive ten days of leave before attending the School of Infantry East, Camp Geiger, N.C.
