The Dominican soldiers will assist in force protection during the upcoming Beyond the Horizon exercise which will be held here in Barahona from April through June 2014. BTH is an annual humanitarian exercises which benefits the people of the region. The SMEE benefits both the Dominican soldiers and U.S. Army personnel as it enhances capabilities on personnel recovery, vehicle searches, personnel search and restraint techniques, land navigation, and search and rescue techniques.
