Soldiers from different battalions spent the week conducting Guardian Hammer, a brigade-level Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise. The 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division has been regionally aligned to support The U.S. Army's U.S. Northern Command. Potential missions include responding to disasters and working with civil authorities. Active-duty military may conduct consequence management activities as part of a unified federal response when requested by a state.
