A Marine with Kilo Company, Battalion Landing Team, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, loads a magazine with blank rounds for an assault in preparation for squad fire and maneuver training during BLT 3/2's off-site training, Oct. 3, 2008, aboard Fort Pickett, Va., a Virginia Army National Guard Maneuver Training Center. The off-site training is the unit's first major training evolution during the 22nd MEU's pre-deployment training cycle. BLT 3/2 is the Ground Combat Element of the 22nd MEU, which is scheduled for a six-month deployment next spring.
