Contractor, Sheikh Awad Ali Hussein and Chief Warrant Officer Jeffrey Sekey (left), a native of Waukesha, Wis., seals the deal to work double-shifts during the evening and early morning hours to beat the heat. This will give the workers the daylight hours to observe Ramadan. Sekey, a member of the FIRST Naval Construction Regiment, was mobilized to augment the Marine Expeditionary Forces Command working in the G-9 Civil Military Operations Infrastructure department. He is administering construction and renovation projects at Al Anbar Provincial Government Center in Ramadi. The PGC is the hub of the province's government from the governor's official residence to the provincial council's chambers. As coalition forces vacate buildings, as part of the turnover to Iraqis, the U.S. is spending Commander's Emergency Response Program funds to restore war-torn and dilapidated structures to their full capacity. FIRST NCR is part of more than 1,300 Sailors, Soldiers and Marines supporting critical general engineering and construction efforts in Al Anbar province of Iraq.
