Chief Warrant Officer Jeffrey Sekey, a resident of Waukesha, Wis. attached to FIRST Naval Construction Regiment homeported in Port Hueneme, Calif., sets the expectation with the contractor's foreman for work to proceed despite the heat and Ramadan. Sekey, was mobilized to augment the Marine Expeditionary Forces Command working in the G-9 Civil Military Operations Infrastructure department. He is administering construction and renovation projects at Al Anbar Provincial Government Center in Ramadi. The PGC is the hub of the province's government from the governor's official residence to the provincial council's chambers. As coalition forces vacate buildings, as part of the turnover to Iraqis, the U.S. is spending Commander's Emergency Response Program funds to restore war-torn and dilapidated structures to their full capacity. FIRST NCR is part of more than 1,300 Sailors, Soldiers and Marines supporting critical general engineering and construction efforts in Al Anbar province of Iraq.
