Brandy Ward, optometry technician, review a person's chart during an eye exam April 7, 2014, at the Chunox Roman Catholic Pre-School in Chunox, Belize. Boese and Ward are deployed from the 349th Combat Support Hospital, a Reserve unit in Los Angeles, Calif. The care was provided as part of a medical training exercise, or MEDRETE, that offers U.S. and Canadian military doctors and nurses the opportunity to train and interact with their Belizean counterparts.
