(From left) Sgt. 1st Class Adrienne Barnes, chemical noncommissioned officer in charge, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, and Maj. Novella L. Currington, Sexual Assault Program manager, Baynes-Jones Army Community Hospital, share information about the sexual assault forensic exam, or SAFE, with Spc. Katrina D. Brinson, a motor transport operator, and Spc. Leah K. Brown, also a motor transport operator, both assigned to the 41st Transportation Company, 88th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st MEB, during a SHARP training April 18, at the 1st MEB gym. The 1st MEB's SHARP team trained more than a 1,000 Soldiers, family members and civilians during the three-day "Walk in Their Shoes" Art Exhibit. Attendees were provided with two sexual assault scenarios and were given the rare opportunity to walk in the shoes of a sexual assault victim by experiencing firsthand the several steps survivors of sexual assault go through after finding the courage to report the incident.
