The 1st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade's SHARP team trained more than a 1,000 Soldiers, family members and civilians during the three-day "Walk in Their Shoes" Art Exhibit beginning April 15, at the 1st MEB gym. The exhibit showcased art work paying tribute to survivors of sexual assault. Attendees were provided with two sexual assault scenarios at the beginning of the exhibit, and then took the rare opportunity to walk in the shoes of a sexual assault victim by experiencing firsthand the several steps survivors of sexual assault go through after finding the courage to report the incident. The Army Substance Abuse Program staff educated the attendees about their services. Date rape detector coasters are now available and only at Fort Polk's ASAP. ASAP arms the Fort Polk community with ways to protect themselves from sexual assault. (Photo by Army Sgt. 1st Class Teresa L. Adams)
