U.S. Army Sgt. Chris Kabella, a farrier for the 1st Cavalry Division Horse Cavalry Detachment who hails from Victoria, Texas, shows a group of kids from Mountain View Elementary School how he attaches a shoe to a horse's foot after the HCD's horse show, May 1, 2014. The HCD is a ceremonial and recruitment unit dedicated to preserving the 1st Cavalry Division's equestrian heritage.
