An Iraqi UH-1H Iroquois "Huey" helicopter and an Iraqi Mi-17 Hip helicopter prepare to transport a wounded Iraqi service member from Joint Base Balad, Iraq, to Forward Operating Base Gabe in Baqubah, Nov. 21. The service member arrived at the Air Force Theater Hospital, Nov. 16, with a gunshot wound to his leg. The Iraqi air force is developing its aeromedical evacuation capabilities to take on a greater role in transporting its patients.
