Senior Airman Kayla Grenier helps lift a wounded Iraqi service member from an ambulance toward a waiting Mi-17 Hip helicopter at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, Nov. 21. Iraqi airmen aeromedically evacuated the service member from Balad to Forward Operating Base Gabe in Baqubah, Iraq. The Iraqi air force is developing its aeromedical evacuation capabilities to take on a greater role in transporting its patients.
