Leaders from the Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. armed forces stand together May 5 as the medical supply donation ceremony begins at the Bigaa Health Center in Bigaa, Albay Province, Philippines, May 5. The donations were a part of the humanitarian civil assistance programs being completed during Exercise Balikatan, an annual bilateral training exercise between the Philippine and U.S. forces to strengthen the relationship between the two allied nations. The donation will provide the health center with the ability to treat a large portion of health concerns as the supplies consisted of medical necessities and equipment from wheelchairs and examination tables to gauze and basic wraps.
