James Ellis, 38, from Byron, Wyo., a nurse anesthetist with Camp Taqaddum Surgical, 1st Maintenance Battalion (-) (Reinforced), 1st Marine Logistics Group, demonstrates a head-lift procedure during a mass casualty drill, Nov. 20. The drill required the staff to treat multiple patients with a variety of simulated wounds, testing their ability to react in a timely manner to situations they might encounter in a combat environment.
