Operations Specialist 3rd Class Michael Sumlar, a Sailor aboard USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), watches line being used to retrieve divers during a man overboard drill. Man overboard drills help Sailors build the skills and techniques required to efficiently recover personnel. Blue Ridge is commanded by Capt. Rudy Lupton and serves under Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) 7/Task Force (CTF) 76, the Navy's only forward deployed amphibious force.
