Michael Wilson, Ph.D., head of the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Systems and Processing Section at the Naval Research Laboratory, explains to Atlantic Beach, N.C., Councilwoman Trish Ide and Chief of Police Allen Smith the capabilities of the Office of Naval Research funded EyePod, an intelligent geo-aware day/night imaging sensor system during the Developmental Test (DT) - 02 for the Operational Adaptation Integrated Technology Demonstration (ITD-1) being held at Bogue Field, Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field, in Carteret County, N.C. Relying on the support offered by the North Carolina, state, county, and local municipalities, DT-02 is the second event in a series intended to pull together various sensor technologies, including air, surface, and subsurface, militarily relevant information, which through a common information space can be easily interpreted by warfighters in a operations center.
