Sgt. Charles Kowalski, a native of Bristol, Conn., and infantryman assigned to Operations Section, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division-Baghdad, carries packages to the Headquarters Mail Room, Dec. 10, at Forward Operating Base Falcon, located in the Rashid district of southern Baghdad. Kowalski, a certified mail handler, is a member of a team of Soldiers, whose additional duties include running the mail operations for the Headquarters Soldiers and Department of Defense employees of the 1st "Raider" Brigade. The additional duty of running the Headquarters Mail Room keeps the Soldiers gainfully employed, especially during the holiday season.
