Sgt. Charles Kowalski, a native of Bristol, Conn., and infantryman assigned to the Operations Section, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division-Baghdad, signs for mail Dec. 10 at the United States Postal Service Forward Operating Base Falcon Post Office, located in the Rashid district of southern Baghdad. Kowalski is a member of a team of Soldiers, whose additional duty is to manage the mail operations for the Soldiers of the 1st "Raider" Brigade. The team of certified mail handlers, picks-up mail daily and sorts the letters and packages for the Soldiers for the detachment. The additional duty of running the Headquarter Mail Room keeps the Soldiers gainfully employed, especially during the holiday season.
