    82nd Airborne Division

Maj. Gen. John W. Nicholson Jr., commander of the 82nd Airborne Division, and Command Sgt. Maj. LaMarquis Knowles, command sergeant major of the 82nd Airborne Division, present a trophy to Sgt. 1st Class Richard Maccini from 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, for being selected as the 2014 82nd Airborne Division’s Jumpmaster of the Year. Jumpmasters are the standard bearers for professionalism and leadership in the 82nd Airborne Division. These leaders carry a huge responsibility when conducting airborne operations and their efforts are crucial in order for the division to perform its mission as a key element of America’s Global Response Force. Maccini, a native of Massachusetts, is an assistant operations sergeant who graduated Airborne School in 2005. He is a graduate of the Cavalry Leaders Course, Battle Staff NCO Course, Master Fitness Trainer Course, and Senior Leaders Course. All American Week brings together current paratroopers, veterans, family members, and the community to celebrate the division's unique airborne heritage and honor its legacy. This year's All American Week theme is "Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of D-Day and the Paratrooper." (Photo Sgt. 1st Class Allan Baros, 82nd Airborne Division)
