The Louisiana National Guard's 61st Troop Command reaches a new milestone as they officially open their 4.1 million, 11,773 square-foot state-of-the-art readiness center, Dec. 4, at the Gillis W. Long Center in Carville, La. The facility is designed to provide command and control operations for military forces during large-scale emergency operations and will be home to approximately 45 Soldiers.
