Brig. Gen. Glenn H. Curtis, director of the joint staff, and Col. Jordan T. Jones, commander of 61st Troop Command, open the unit's new 4.1 million, state-of-the-art readiness center during a ribbon cutting ceremony, Dec. 4, at the Gillis W. Long Center in Carville, La. The armory is designed to provide command and control operations for military forces during large-scale emergency operations and will be home to approximately 45 Soldiers.
