Marines and sailors with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Africa 14, from 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, meet James Knight, the Ambassador to Chad (left), the Minister of Environment for Chad (middle) and the governor of the Salamat region of Chad (right). The Marines spent a month in Chad working with members of the Chadian Anti-Poaching Brigade on basic infantry tactics and techniques, weapons handling, patrolling and combat lifesaving techniques. These transferable skills will help the Chadian Anti-Poaching Brigade prevent illegal activity, investigate incidents and pursue criminals as part of an effort to collaborate with foreign government partners to build their capacity to counter illicit trafficking.
