Marines and sailors stand in formation in preparation for a field meet May 23 at Camp Kinser. The field meet was held in celebration of 3rd Marine Logistics Group’s 56th anniversary. Despite the rainy weather and muddy field, the day’s events consisted of a pancake breakfast, 5-kilometer run, two multi-unit physical training sessions followed by unit competitions. The competitions pitted the most physically fit Marines within the respective battalions and regiments of 3rd MLG against each other in events such as pugil stick bouts, tug-of-war, Humvee pull, tire flip and functional fitness relay. This year’s winning unit was Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd MLG, III Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Adam B. Miller/Released)
