U.S. Coast Guardsmen demonstrate enemy pursuit maneuver drills to partner nation service members from Antigua and Barbuda, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Dominica and the Bahamas during Tradewinds 2014 here on June 5. The 33-foot Interceptor Response boats used in the training were given to partner nations in the Caribbean as part of the "Secure Seas" program. Exercise participants learned tactics and procedures they can use at their home bases to pursue and evade enemy watercraft in various maritime law enforcement situations. Tradewinds is a joint, combined, exercise conducted in conjunction with partner nations to enhance the collective abilities of defense forces and constabularies to counter transnational organized crime and to conduct humanitarian/disaster relief operations.
