Tech. Sgt. Christopher Ramakka, flight chief from the 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Explosive Ordnance Flight, goes for an early-morning run on Dec. 24. The Richland, Wash., native is serving his debut deployment after losing his lower left leg when he stepped on a mine in Afghanistan three years ago. He also lost the tips of two fingers and suffered further damage to his hands and right leg. Ramakka is deployed from Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.
