Tech. Sgt. Christopher Ramakka, flight chief from the 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Explosive Ordnance Flight, runs through an operations check on a protective-suit control panel in the EOD warehouse on Dec. 24. The Richland, Wash., native is serving his debut deployment after losing his lower left leg when he stepped on a mine in Afghanistan three years ago. He also lost the tips of two fingers and suffered further damage to his hands and right leg.
