Spc. Peter Anderson and Spc. Douglas Mathieu, both from Hotel Troop, 1-303rd Cavalry, 81st Brigade Combat Team, attempt to stop their simulated casualty's bleeding at the Medical Training Simulation Center at Camp Buehring, Kuwait on Oct. 22. Medics and combat lifesavers practiced life-saving techniques on MEDI dummies that breathed, blinked, bled and produced a pulse. Members of the Washington Army National Guard's 81st BCT spent a few weeks at Camp Buehring before deploying to various bases across Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
