In the austere training environment of Agile Spirit 14, a Georgian Armed Forces mobile-communications unit sits in front of the Joint Command Operations Center where U.S. Marines of Black Sea Rotational Force 14 and their Georgian counterparts plan, advise and guide the exercise to incorporate brigade and battalion-level engagements throughout the evolution. The fourth iteration of Agile Spirit will unify the efforts of more than 250 Marines and 550 Georgian soldiers by emphasizing interoperability through small-unit interactions and command-staff integration. BSRF-14 provides U.S. Marine Forces Europe and Africa a robust, rotational capability to maintain proven partnerships and strategic friendships in the Black Sea, Balkans and Caucasus regions while providing a rapid-response capability to U.S. European Command.
