    ALI BASE, Iraq -- The southern third of Iraqi skies are controlled by a small group of Airmen assigned to the 407th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron Area Control Center. The 50,000 square miles of coverage is handled using a mobile radar unit designed for high mobility and a four month useful life. The unit has been in operation more than 3 years now.
    Controllers assigned to the Area Control Center include (from the left, back row): Senior Airman Justin Sherman, Tech. Sgts. Clint Logan and Jayson Vincent, Staff Sgt.
