Major Shanye P. Yenzer (left), Executive Officer, Logistics Operations School, Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools, is awarded the Meritorious Service Medal by Colonel Mathew G. St. Clair (right), Commanding Officer, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (26 MEU), II Marine Expeditionary Force (II MEF), aboard Camp Johnson, NC, June 13, 2014. Major Yenzer was awarded the medal for serving as the Logistics Officer for the 26 MEU, II MEF, from July 2009-Feb 2014. Major Yenzer led all logistics efforts in two pre-deployment training programs and planned and supervised twelve different training exercises. Major Yenzer also served as a liaison officer working with civil authorities during relief efforts in New York City during relief efforts after Hurricane Sandy.
