Marines with Bravo Company, 7th Engineer Support, 1st Marine Logistics Group, construct the foundation for guard towers while building a forward operating base, a secured and fortified location used to increase operational tempo in forward deployed areas, during a field training exercise aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., June 11, 2014. The FOB was approximately 40,000 sq. meters and consisted of four 20-foot tall guard posts, a command and control center, as well as several other structures used for facilitating the safe and effective environment for planning and conducting operations.
