Lance Cpl. Taylor Butler, combat engineer, 2nd Platoon, Bravo Company, 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, saws wooden planks into the proper dimensions necessary for constructing guard towers during a field training exercise aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., June 12, 2014. The wood was used to construct 20-foot tall guard towers which provided an advantageous position for Marines to post security after building a approximately 40,000 sq. meters forward operating base, a secured and fortified location used to increase operational tempo in forward deployed areas.
