As "The Star-Spangled Banner" reverberates through the crowd gathered outside the home of Jeffrey D. Levine, the U.S. ambassador to Estonia, 1st Lt. Garret Ekstrum (far right), a paratrooper assigned to Troop B, 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, salutes the colors during an early Fourth of July celebration held June 26 in Estonia's capital of Tallinn. Ekstrum and more than 25 of his comrades from Troop B joined approximately 1,000 American and Estonian service members, community leaders and political dignitaries in a patriotic celebration that included karaoke, Segway rides, traditional American food, and a live performance by Ewert and the Two Dragons, Estonia's award-winning rock band.
