Sgt. Shawn Hicks, a Fort Worth, Texas, native is busy at work looking for parts keeping our arms at their very best. Army forces use a wide array of weapons, from small field artillery to large ballistic missiles. Most of these weapons have electronic components and systems that help locate targets, aim, and fire. It's the small arms/artillery repairer's responsibility to keep the weapons operating properly. The small arms/artillery repairer is primarily responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on small arms and other infantry weapons. Hicks keeps Bravo Company, 949th Brigade Support Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade Troops Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade Soldiers in the fight.
