U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Darrell Mathieu, Independent Duty Medical Technician assigned to the 82nd Expeditionary Rescue Squadron (ERQS), directs Airmen assigned to the 303rd ERQS, as well two French Airmen, to their positions for a mass casualty exercise at Gran Bara, Djibouti, July 7, 2014. An HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter assigned to the 303rd ERQS flies overhead carrying 82nd ERQS pararescuemen at the ready, to begin the exercise. The joint exercise also included the U.S. Army 1st Infantry Division, 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment, Headquarters, Headquarters Company infantrymen providing the security detail; and an 81st ERQS flight crew with an HC-130P Combat King aircraft waiting at another location for trans-load of casualties.
