FORT MCPHERSON, Ga. (January 11, 2006) Soldiers from Third U.S. Army review and update their personnel records at a recent Soldier Readiness Check. Third Army conducts a unit SRC every quarter to ensure Soldiers are deployable. During the SRC, Soldiers go through various stations to ensure their medical, legal, financial and personnel records are up to date. As the Army component for U.S. Central Command, Third Army maintains a headquarters not only at Fort McPherson but also at Camp Arifijan, Kuwait, so it is important for Soldiers' record to be up to date since members of the unit travel back and forth frequently to the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility.
